Wow! This picture is so clever, who would of thought something like this would would make beautiful art!

Oh how this makes me want to go travelling again. What was your favorite place to visit?

I can’t believe it’s snowing there! We’re in a heat wave in the 90’s and it’s just awful! I am so ready for fall/winter weather. It’s only been below the mid 80’s for one day and that was 2 Saturday’s ago. So sad.

I LOVE pictures that make me do a double-take, like this one. It took me a second to figure out just what this was.

Travel photos are my favorite, ones that tell a story, can’t wait to see more. Thanks for posting everyday, I look forward to it.

I like the first one :)

#1 – love the open and free feel of the whole composition.

#1. I don’t like the concrete dock in #2, it’s a little jarring.

#1 is more appealing to me…I think the tone of it is more inviting? #2 makes me kinda sad…

In terms of feel, I like #1 better. #2 with the grey dock gives it more of a sad, detached mood. I prefer the brighter and bluer tones in #1.

p.s. #1 looks more grainy—did you use film?

Composition aside, #1 felt more “homely” and in #2 the lines were too sharp. In my opinion #1 seems more natural and captures the feel of the place better.

i prefer the composition of number one, but voted for #2 because of the clean/crisp feel to it :)

#1… rule of thirds and vector lines keep my eyes interested. ;) The row of boats leading my eyes down and into that one blue one in the foreground. I feel like there’s more of a story happening.

I went with #1, I like seeing more water as well, that was fun!

The jetty in the second one leads my eye out of the top of the photo without looking at the boats. The first one makes me linger more and dream of being there.

Voted #1. Prefer to see more boats and water than dock. Photo lends itself to the grainy effect. Also love the blue colours of the boat in the foreground.

Voted #2. I feel more like I am there, and I didn’t think the grain worked very well for the first shot.

Image 1 based on my gut feel. When I looked at it more I think I prefer it due to the line of the boats arcing round from the bottom left corner.

The first one just seems more pleasing to my eye.. :) I need to do polls like this too, sometimes it’s so hard to decide between two similar shots!

I like the first shot better because I prefer seeing more water than actual cement dock.

I do appreciate the nostalgia and film grain look of the first one, but I chose the second. It’s just so crisp and real – just makes me want to be there!
